Choose to be happy

Hello everyone this is Mona back with a fun journal page featuring the brand new die set from Kat Scrappiness called Cute Layered Owl Die Set.. everyone knows I love owls so this is a favourite of mine. Let me walk you thru the steps of my journal page.
I started by adding modpodge with torn pieces of script paper  in random places  on my background , once that was dry I added a thin layer of light blue paint on top. Now for the fun part, I used several different stencils from my stash, white and dark blue paint, and stenciled, using my Dream weaver Stencil Brush. For the finishing touch I added a bit of stamping using a old script stamp and some Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink.
These are what I used to cut the elements for my page... Kat Scrappiness cute owl die set and a Stampendous stamp set for the tree. I also stamped a fence twice and fussy cut them. I used my alcohol markers to colour in all my images.
Once everything was cut out, I placed them on my page and adhered them with modpodge. This is where I noticed I needed more stenciling so I added a bit more. I continued by adding the shadow all around my images, used a green marker to add grass and finished off by adding my sentiment.
This finishes off my mini tutorial.  Thank you very much for stopping by . I hope to see you again soon. Bye bye for now ?

Get well soon- pop card

Good day everyone this is Mona back with a fun card idea for ScraPerfect.

This is the stamp set I used from Art Impression , the set comes with all stamps, dies and instructions.

I started with cutting my card base  41/4 x 51/2 . I coloured all the pieces and die cut them.

I went on to assembling my pieces and adhering it down with the the Best Glue Ever using my no clog writing cap to make sure I add just a small amount since the pieces are so little it's easier to align in the right spot. This Glue only requires a little amount it is very tacky and is very powerful, it also dries clear in case it oozes out.

I turned my pop up card into a get well soon card for my brother who has been suffering from MS for many years and has been really on a low lately. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and make sure to stop in at http://scraperfect.com/ to check out all their other great supplies. Hope to see you again soon

Seals at Sea

Hello everyone, this is Mona back with fun art journal page using Kat Scrappiness brand new Seal dies.
I started by using my Dylusions Creative Journal.  I gave a coat of gesso to my background.  I then applied two tones of blue paint to make the sky and my water.  I applied  some white  paint thru a stencil to give it dimension .  Next I took my script stamp and my Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink to stamp at random places to finish off my background.
Now for the fun part I die cut two seals and the iceberg then decided where I wanted them on my page. I proceeded to colour all my pieces using my copics. Then used my big brush markers to add snow mountains in the background and the shadows and highlights around my seals.  I made my sentiment using a large sharpie marker and highlighted with my Uniball White Gel Pen.
This completes my mini tutorial, thanks for stopping by. I hope I see you again soon.

House warming gift

Hi everyone this is Mona back with a fun little project for ScraPerfect . My son and his girlfriend recently bought a house I wanted to make them a little something to hang on their wall. This is what I came up with.

I started with a 4x6 watercolour paper that I had in my stack.and water coloured to make a sky and die cut a bunch of pieces to make my scenery. The houses, clouds and trees  are from My favourite Things house die set. The hills are from Gina Marie and the sentiment from Tim Holtz greetings die set. Once everything was cut I used my Spectrum Noir markers to colour everything.

Once everything was coloured I used my Best Glue Ever  from ScraPerfect to adhere everything down.It dries fast, clear and flexible with a super stong bond . Requires just a minimal amount to get it to stick that is why I use the No clog cap to be able to aim and dispense a small amount also found at ScraPerfect.

Once it was done I found the perfect frame for it and adhered my art to the back of the frame mat to get it centred. This completes my project, hope everyone enjoyed it. See you again soon.
